"The will of God
will never take you
where the Grace of God
will not protect you."

We believe that our world was created by a master architect, designer, and builder,
which was God.
-
Genesis 1:1 states
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”.
Jesus Christ was also in the beginning with God when the world was created
-
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was God, by Him all things were created”
-
Genesis 1:26
God said “Let us make man in our image, after ourlikeness”
Temptation – Sin – Separation
After God created mankind
He gave him freedom to live, yet God also gave mankind guidelines to live by.
These guidelines served two purposes:
-
The guidelines were for mankind’s
own good - to provide protection and to set boundaries for safe wholesome living
-
The guidelines were a way for mankind to demonstrate their submission to their creator God.
Basically, we follow the rules as a way to say “Thank You”.
Sometimes we are tempted to not follow the rules, which are found in the Bible.
When we don’t obey God, it’s
called “sin”.
Since God is holy and pure, sin must be separated from Him.
When Adam and Eve first disobeyed God
(Genesis 3) they were separated from God by being placed outside of the Garden of Eden.
We are made Right with God through Jesus Christ
-
In the Old Testament days, God allowed a High Priest, to offer sacrifices as a way
to forgive people of their sins.
The priest could enter the ‘Holy Place’ and worship God, but only one time a year he
was allowed to pass through the‘Holy Place’ and enter the ‘Most Holy Place’.
This curtain separated sinless God, from sinful man.
The High Priest had to be free from sin to enter the ‘Most Holy Place’ so
he cleansed himself by entering with the blood of the sacrificial lamb on his hands.
This cleansing meant that the penalty had been paid for sin and now access was granted to enter before God.
-
Jesus put an end to our separation from God by being the final sacrifice
for our sins.
He paid the price for us to be reunited with God, with his own
blood.
- At Jesus’ death we read that
“the veil of the curtain was torn in two, from top to bottom”.
Just like the curtain that separated the ‘Holy Place’ from the ‘Most Holy
Place’, sin separates us from God.
Jesus resolved that problem.
-
The curtain was torn at Jesus
death, allowing you and I, to approach God, at any time!
Not just a high priest,
not just once a year!
-
Thank you Jesus, for providing
a way to restore our relationship with God.
