Corner
As we get ready to celebrate our Eighth Easter
together, I want to encourage us all to be fully
involved in the ministries of Waynesburg Christian Church.
KIDS Church will be looking at service in March. Looking at “God Wants Us to Serve Others” from
Jeremiah 1:1-10, “Doing our Part” from I Corinthians 12:12-31; and also they will be looking at “Humble Hearts” from Matthew 20:20-28. Remember to keep memorizing you memory verses, kids; and parents, make sure you spend some time each day helping them memorize. Also an FYI: There will be no Youth Sunday on 3/30, since our teens will be in Knoxville at JBC for a Youth Retreat.
Our Sermons for March will be “The Attitude of Christ” from Philippians 2:5-11, on March 2. Then on March 9, we will be honored to have our missionaries from Papua New Guinea, Kyle & Kathy Harris, sharing with us during Sunday School. None of us will want to miss this
opportunity to see what God is doing half a world away. Then on March 16, Timothy will be preaching “Lights in the World” from Philippians 2:14-16a. Please come out and receive the challenge to become brighter in the midst of the darkness we call society. Then on Easter Sunday, during Sunrise Service the sermon will be “Our Salvation” from Acts 13:26-41, when we will celebrate by discovering three reasons we can be encouraged in our faith. Then stay for breakfast, for great food and fellowship; and if you haven't signed up to bring something to the breakfast, please do so on the sign-up sheet in the foyer. Our
breakfast will be followed by our Cantata on which the choir is working very hard. It will truly be a celebration of all Jesus is to us.
We will close out the month with the sermon “Reverence and Awe” from Philippians 2:12-13. March will be a month you will not want to miss a single service or event. GOD IS GOOD!
