Counting my Blessings
What a wonderful God we serve! I am so thankful to Him for bringing my family to join with our family here at Waynesburg Christian Church. We have been given many blessings, the greatest of all is the capacity to love and be loved.
As I write this, I am reminded of people in my life who have struggled more than I ever have and yet praise God for His love
and provision. How can they do that? I am convinced that without the Holy Spirit of God within us, we can’t. I see things happen to them that they didn’t ask for, yet they hold firm to the fact that God is in control, even when they can’t see His hand working. To anyone else it looks hopeless, but to them there is Hope and He has a name . . .Jesus!
I am so thankful for people like that. Maybe that is why God allows them to struggle? I don’t know, but I do know that Jesus struggled also. And He
overcame. And so it is written down for us to remember in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart.
I have overcome the world!”
